About Eleanor

Eleanor Dunnet (previously Eleanor Haward) is a composer and teacher based in Scotland, UK. She completed her PhD in Music Composition at the University of Aberdeen and has taught music for the past 20 years in one-to-one private lessons, in schools as both a classroom and peripatetic teacher, and at university as a Teaching Fellow.

Her music is regularly broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and performed throughout the UK, Europe, North America, and in Australia. She gained a first class honours degree in Music from the University of Edinburgh and went on to study Psychology of Music at the University of Leeds for her MA degree. Whilst at university she received the Janet Buckley award for outstanding performance in Early Music and the Julian Rushton Scholarship for academic merit.

She is passionate about music education and loves working with students in group and individual settings. She offers a holistic approach to teaching and ensures that lessons and workshops are tailored to her students' needs and goals.
